How Tears Are Made:

by Scott Cole   Oct 16, 2018

They're mixed emotions
Heated to a boil,
Stirred and infused
With unvirgin oils.

That's left to simmer
On an opened flame,
Till the temperature is right
And the broth inflamed.

You add in some spices
To enhance the recipe,
And pour in dilutants
Until the right density.

When the mixture is blended
And the pressure displeased,
The preparation is ready
When the steam is released.

Your eyes will water up
And collect just like rain,
From all of those ingredients
That fired up your pain.

Swells of light drizzle
Will feed your misty eyes,
Teardrops will take shape
And you'll start to cry.

Using cookery as a metaphor for tear production is a good one. I was chopping onions last night and they were flowing, I can tell you!
    Very original and very good.

I like the metaphors you have used and the way you have
penned this with perfect rhyme and rhythm about tears. The way
its formed, developed and then released...nicely penned!
