bittersweet

it became oh so clear to me how things really were, so close yet, so far away.
as the years rolled on there was a ominous cloud following my existence.
the more i tried, the more it rained. the more i pried, the tears remained.
the tears ive cried, they werent in vain, although i moved on, my hearts still detained.
it became oh so known that i couldnt give you what you needed
i was too blind to see you were giving me you all this time.
the love was rejected from past pains, the bitterness consumed from foolish gains.
and though my love for you will never die, the things ive written, it shows i tried.
