Eternity

by Faithless Watermelon   Nov 7, 2018

Floating to the sun
and said and done
and dreams...
Fantasy, fantasy,
lying and awakening,
I swear she was there,
something old and nothing new.
The soldier's blue,
some sons you slew.
Sightless crawler, flightless brawler,
tiring of the tiring.
A sty of wiring
crossing hearts and slyly saying,
"sorry, soldier, but
the pain is bolder -
tears get colder."

Somewhere ahead, steaming,
through fields of boneless meaning -
stairways of throats, screaming -
the drink takes its leaning,
filching heartfelt weening.

Raping the romantics
and sincerity
and words...
Beatings, beatings,
I come to your faith,
closing depthless eyes,
dust twisting and singing
and misted rust cringing.
All over there's harmony
and something else entirely.
Evil always knows, never shows-
intensely perplexing-
a fist in the socket of glory..
of glory, of glory, gory gory,
hallelujah,
I never knew ya.
