A political piece with some humour and witty wordplay! I like that this isn’t heavy handed and is descriptive enough to remain interesting throughout. The final stanza I find a little obscure and disquieting, and personally, I’d rather it end with the bullets image, as it’s more effective and less abstract. :)

Thanks for your valued feedback, which I appreciate. It is obscure, and I like readers perspectives.
'Angels with dirty faces' are bank notes if that makes sense, and once money has been laundered through various establishments its 'clean' so to speak.

      Thanks again for reading :)

That provoking imagery and connection to what is often hidden.... brilliant. Nothing is what it seems and how many times do we fall in line with the lies they feed us, the images they carefully polish? I think the most memorable line for me was about the rats snorkeling, it immediately made me think of politicians who realize their own demise and try to save themselves, who only care about self-preservation.

So interesting to read and clever indeed.
