Into Orbit

by Aegis   Dec 7, 2018

The clouds only wish they could
float as high as me;
glaring as I drift past stars
dipped in jealousy.

Maybe if they could come down,
they would understand the
gravity of being up.

But until then,
I'll just be wasted space.

    Love your brevity so much and how you worded this "high"!

    This is different, I enjoyed it! The final two thirds especially are clever and unique. Well done :)

    This is perhaps out of context but this poem reminds me of a friend.

    He used to dabble quite extensively in white powdery stuff. When high if was a total blast. But when he came down it was a biggie.

    Anyway a fantastic poem in my view.
