You caught me unaware-

lured me in with your honey-dipped
tongue.

Yesterday you were a whisper in the wind;
today you're the breeze on my face.
Your presence claws its way through my
veins and seeps into my brain,
painting such brilliant
ideas.

Now I find all my thoughts full of you,
and I'm not sure whether it's a blessing
or a curse-

for I am the ocean and you
are my horizon.

    I love the discovery in this, of being caught unaware, of the unknown of what lays ahead when ocean meets horizon, when these thoughts, your minds, connect.

    A truly stellar piece!
