Longstreet

by Dagmar Wilson   Jan 12, 2019

I've been waiting
patiently sitting back,
the days are numbered
now I can't go.

Life is a blessing
it will get messy
roadblocks are in sight.
The devil is busy.

Love is a feeling
we deliver our hearts on a silver platter,
often not enough to survive the storm.

I've travelled down the roads
I can't remember all their names,
fighting for a loved one was the longest, most difficult one.
