Ending in Spring

by Maple Tree   Jan 14, 2019

What do you do, when light of day stings your eyes?

Death beacons a lighthouse of doom
upon shadows that chase me,
I'm forever running from spring
hoping to evade capture;

premonitions in dreams
foretell the madness that comes
for me, and I'm not ready....

I'm just not ready.

    Desperately running from the inevitable seems pointless, but is it? We hear of those defeated odds all the time. We know that miraculous is almost an everyday event on an ever-decreasing planet. Hope has and will always be worth being ready to cling to. Let's be ready enough for hope, if hope is all there is. xx
