Maybe

by Soulful Ensemble   Jan 15, 2019

Like Adam with forbidden fruit,
I tasted the sweet nectar that is you.
With a touch that lingered,
An embrace heaven sent;
Your lips caused sparks wherever they went.

You have a hold on me,
Your eyes sparkle through my soul.
With every small embrace,
Of penetrating grace,
I know painstaking care was taken
When God fashioned your pretty face.

Little kisses thrown
Like kindle in the fire burns
Where my heart sits with you
And time slowly turns.

A single touch takes over
Anytime we meet.
Gentle but firm, I wish to hold you
If you would only let it be.

With lips that meet mine softly
And skin that feels so warm,
Beautiful as blue skies
Like the touch of silk, as love is born.

The prettiest thing in all the world
Like soft, smooth pearls
You look at me from the horizon
Through eyes that shine like diamonds.

Your loving eyes are not for me
But I send love to thee.
Until tomorrow when I'll be
Next to you, maybe.
