Spider

by CJ Maleney   Feb 1, 2019

Oh the things you may see at times,
with your two little innocent eyes!
Transferred to tongues so fervently,
You now seem like a spy.

That supposed friend and confident,
In whom you should be able to trust!
Will spill words in ears so easily,
They will decay brains like corrosive rust.

But they don't have a simple clue at all,
About how the board is laid out and set,
Or the controls set in place and that do work,
For this evil, twisted net.

So quick to run and tell a tale,
To blurt it out without the facts,
But your actions are known and calculated.
So! Now, who has your back?

From this moment forward,
It shall not and never will be me.
To betray a trust and friendship,
Is the ultimate blasphemy.

So find yourself a great big rock
And under it you should hide.
Because I know just who you are,
And my eyes are open wide.

Illuminate and eliminate the impossible,
Then what you have left is true.
You may think you are invisible!
But oh how I see you!

Time is to be measured and biden,
For there is not urgency or haste.
But time will eventually catch up with you,
And it will leave a sour taste.

So scurry along little spider,
Or are you more akin to a rat
Which ever you choose to think you are
Both seem rather apt!

    Hi, Craig
There are days when we feel the world is flat, it is in fact, riddled with holes, dips and self-centred idiots. Once this is known and understood, we can enjoy the flat bits, jump over the holes and side-step those annoying idiots.
    Take care.

Wow! fella, such a deep piece about loyalties and friendships, in fact all the emotions we share, not such good ones at times either.
    Nicely done chap, M :)

Certainly seems like you have inspiration to me, Craig, despite your pm. Sorry I'm all out of nominations, but I hope someone has one left.

    Take care
