A body in motion

A body in motion

Tends to stay in motion? Only in outer space, can this possibly take place. With this body of mine, it takes a little more time. When in the vain days of my youth, I thought about swimming the Ocean, but a Mermaid laughed at me, and said; why don’t you go fish, that made me sad, but she was quiet a dish!

Well, its Monday, got to get the auto in motion, back to the grind, where the rubber meets the road, the boring ride to the Office I do glide. Bumper to bumper, if only I could fly, horns blare everywhere, a very pretty Lady gives me a stare, then I think, I hope the traffic stops so I can meet this dear. She holds up a paper with her phone number written on it, I scramble in the console looking for a piece of paper, but, alas, I found none, I ended up writing it on my shirt cuff, yelled out loud; sure enough!

At the Office, the Boss told me that I had a new Secretary, I looked up and there she was, our eyes together became wide, this great Gal working at my side, she was the epidemy of a body in motion. At lunch time we had some small talk in the Cafeteria, a worker asked about the number written on my cuff, embarrassed, my face turing red, I blurted out, it’s the number of a Pizza store, hoping that he didn’t ask more, with a smirk on his face, he walked out the door.

My new Lady and me, hit it off big time, I took her to a Shareholder’s Party, there, I planned to ask her to be forever mine. A guy across the room beckoned me to come over, I excused myself and went to him, he asked about my new flame, what was her previous work history, and her name. I replied; she is a beauty indeed, Sara has a wonderful personality, but, when it comes to intelligence, she has a need, she’s no Rocket Scientist!

Back to Sara I went, curious, I asked what her previous career work was, she said softly; A Rocket Scientist. My jaw dropped in sheer amazement, what a prize, this woman had it all, suddenly, I felt very small, felt like I wanted to bawl.

Now married, still working together, but I let her drive, and I now I love the ride, my treasure by my side, no longer bearing a heavy load, some guy is giving her the eye, but I whisper in her ear, keep your eyes on the road, dear.

Another quirky and endearing piece. Romance does strike in the most unusual of places and changes our beliefs quite rapidly. Much love Milly x

Without a doubt Milly! My wife may not be a "Rocket Scientist" but, she knows how to fly me to the Moon!
