A Poem to make her Smile

by Maple Tree   Feb 17, 2019

I miss your giggle.
I miss your sweet smile.
You are a good person,
your soul is bright, like
the brightest star in the sky.

You have a brilliant elegance
within your heart,
your wings are filled with
midnight air that cascades
cross miles of a billion storms.

You shall survive the turbulence
within your life, because you are
the epitome of strength,
you are a poets daughter-

My girl my life- I love you

I was writing an email to my daughter in Prison-
Her last letter stated how depressed and sad she is
and how the pain in her body is consuming her....
so I wrote her this poem, just wanted to share with
all of you <3

It's always wonderful when we can write little poems to the people we love and somehow that is more than enough to mean everything in the world and then some.

I'm sorry to have been away for such a while, but I am glad this is the piece I came back to. Your writing still has its spark. :)

Well, if it can make me smile, it can certainly make her smile!
No one can cage a truly a beautiful soul, and wherever she is, that part of her will always shine the brightest.

    Take care, Andrea
