Silence

by Tanya Southey   Feb 19, 2019

The head chairs meetings
voices creep
with feedback,
‘not good enough’
they stalk and circle
‘you could have been better’

The heart needs quiet
to connect to pillars of light,
flush out the doubt
and land the truth
you are more than enough
child of light and shade

Meetings can be exhilarating but equally demoralising depending on who is chairing the meeting and how they behave towards their staff and colleagues. Sometimes they are completely oblivious of how their behaviour inspires or demotivates others. A piece that will resonate with most who have experienced negative experiences in meetings. Milly x

I am getting this feedback from a few sources. It wasn't my intention. It was supposed to depict a meeting with one's self, where our self-talk is so bad that it gets to us. Must rethink. Thanks for the feedback xxx
