In the Middle of the Night

by Bleu   Feb 28, 2019

In the middle of the night time,
in the midst of our ruffled sheets,
across the darkened room,
lies the love we made in a matter of weeks.

In the middle of the night time,
when the entire world is asleep,
Soft sighs and gentle breaths,
from a child both you and me.

In the middle of the night time,
in a world all our own,
You awaken with a smile and tell me,
"With you, I am finally at home."

In the middle of the night time,
folded in your embrace,
we talk about the future, our past,
all the chances we plan to take.

In the middle of the night time,
I start to cherish our simple life,
dreaming of the months to come,
before you make me your wife.
