Cravings

by DarkNDangerous   Mar 1, 2019

I crave you,
The peanut butter that spreads so thin,
The jelly that sugarcoats my taste buds,
The crust that is cut off, like my youth.

I crave you,
The chocolate that seduces me,
The false sweet russet addiction,
I am a gluten for punishment.

I crave you,
The chips that cut my gums,
The crunch of the salt you fill me with,
The bag that is ultimately left empty.

I crave it,
So I fill my body with junk food,
The comforting sustenance,
Which is just as toxic as craving you.
