Be my friend

by Periwinkle   Mar 11, 2019

I stifled my sobs and suppressed my pain,
To the outside world, happiness I did feign.
You came along, breezed in, a whiff of cool air
Soothed my nerves, like a cute teddy bear.
You took me to frontiers I have never seen,
Happiness and thrills, you made me a queen.
You showed me life's a roller coaster ride,
Be brave and manoeuver forth, the real pride.
I abandoned the grudges, looked ahead with hope,
Life seemed so beautiful, like a kaleidoscope.
Give me peace and joy as you always do
Retain this friendship, I sincerely wish to.
Be the pillar of support that you always are
Let me rise again and be a shining star.

What a lovely poem. It's wonderful that human beings can have such a marvellous influence on others and just goes to show that there is good in us!
