Reading

by Tanya Southey   Mar 13, 2019

You will find me
between the covers
of a book
wandering around
in worlds I’ve never lived in,
back in a tunnel
of time, you, Mr Darcy and me,
well, whomever I feel like being

You will find me on a page
lost between
black and white words
coloured by imagination
and the things I refuse
to feel while awake
will make me cry
while I read
deep into the night

And all the things
I wish to put down
will be held and
felt and somehow
through these ivory
pages that someone
else sweated and edited
and screamed of all that
they loved
I will find my own feelings
sent to paper

I really like what you've done with this piece,
Reminds me of child reading a book about a princess and getting flashes of a future simular.

That what I get out of it anyway

    Great write.
