Momma

by Obscure   Mar 16, 2019

I saw my mother struggle
with the tears that filled her eyes
Knowing nothing I could say
Would stem that salty tide

I saw her sister leave her
White hot anger in her heart
To this day they haven't spoken
For their souls are torn apart

I saw my mother fumble
With the words she'd like to say
She shook with deep emotion
And I died a bit that day

I saw her plan her funeral
Pick the hymns that should be sung
And even though she planned to die
She was not yet fifty-one

Hugs to you. This is emotionally intense and no one should have to struggle and basically know and prepare for that last day.... especially without the fullest amount of support from family.
