Outcasts

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 25, 2019

There were Jesus freaks who had no seats
at the feast of counterrevolution
and flower children following Dylan
who wandered off in profound confusion.

None of them came around or made a sound
to decide the direction of our world
left out were voices that had real choices
into chaos of exclusion all was hurled.

Forty years we searched in every church
but we could not find the promised land
bring brothers, sisters and all the others
only then will we finally understand.
