A Lost Soul

by HOLLY ARMER   Jul 13, 2004

A world of loneliness
consumes a lost soul.
Walking in a haze,
she lost sight of her goal.

She once had ambitions
and dreams to achieve.
She could do anything
or so she believed.

But a boy came along
and led her astray.
Taking her heart, ambitions,
and dreams away.

He made her believe
that he was her life.
So he became her husband,
and she became his wife.

This made them happy
for a while it seemed.
Even though she lost sight
of everything she dreamed.

He eventually lost interest
and found someone new.
She is left heart broken
and doesn't know what to do.

So she embraces her sadness
for reasons unknown.
And is destined to wander
this world all alone.
