The Friends Night Anthem -

by charbel   Jul 5, 2026

Thursday night, TV aglow
Same six faces that we know
Coffee cups and endless jokes
Life was simpler for us folks

Someone said, “We need a break!”
Someone reached for one more steak
Someone sang a song off-key
And somehow that felt right to me

I'll be there at half past eight
No Netflix, no rewind, just wait
One episode and then we'd dream
About that couch and coffee scene

Friends were there when days felt gray
Laughter made the stress decay
Twenty years have slipped away
But we'll still clap in the same old way

???? ???? ???? ????

One cleaned up, one always joked
One had fashion dreams awoke
One smiled and stole our fries
One rolled those tired old eyes

One more laugh before goodbye
Credits rolled and we'd all sigh
Next week's coming, hold on tight
See you all next Thursday night

Silly cat, silly cat
What were they feeding you at?
Someone yells, someone eats
Someone waits with coffee treats

No streaming app, no endless queue
Just one episode for me and you
Thursday came, we'd gather near
And laugh the same for twenty years
