The Night We Owned

by Jorge Luis   Aug 16, 2004

On the night our souls blended
GOD's infinite universe
sang a song like non-other...

The sun, & moon secretly joined,
sparking a chorus so mesmerizing
that it made the envious stars,
form a constellation of images, & symbols
proclaiming our love, & undying unity...

And as the night grew weaker,
I became like an ancient warrior...
growing stronger, & fiercer
increasing so much in courage
that I single-handedly trapped
the great cupid himself
convicting him sole prisoner
to my uncommon bliss.
