Your eyes are open. but you don't see

"So like I've got this party on Saturday
All the COOL people are coming, I"ll see you there ok"
People like you make me sick,
So wrapped up in your superficiality.
Degrading those you think are not worthy
Who made YOU boss? Don't judge me.

"Every time I look in the mirror, what I see is a great big mess
All this fat won't go away, even though I eat LESS and LESS"
People like you make me depressed.
You're the victims of this society.
I wish that I could make you see,
True beauty comes from within.

"I need another FIX, what I've been having is no longer enough
But I haven't got any money; I'll just sell all my games and stuff"
People like you make me worried,
The things you'll do to get high
Millions of drug users worldwide turn to crime just to get by.

Your eyes are open but you don't see
Your words have great power and what you're doing hurts me deeply
Your eyes are open but you don't see
Looking back at you in the mirror, is a person of great beauty
Your eyes are open but you don't see
All those different drugs are killing you, taking over your body

Your eyes are open but you don't see
To open them wider is my one and only plea.

(all the bits in bold are words i wanted to have in italics, to add effect but this thing doesn't let you so i put them in bold instead.)

    Yes, very true, again a great piece of writing, speaks out the thoughts of what people have in mind. Your poems about life are always really powerful, I love reading them, it always makes me think about the world around :) Again, good work. take care.

    I'm so glad you stand up for things alot of people shy away from. I love the way you word thing, put them all together. I think that you are a wonderful writer and never stop beilving and staying strong! This is what makes me really like your poetry because you seem to be very strong minded! Awesome Poem!
