A Fairys World

There lies a small island
With dips of fairy dew,
Rocky highlands, and a
Sleu of hidden forests.
Filled with berries
For the waking herons.

The moonlight glosses
The dim grey sands.
Were they foot at night,
Weaving olden dances,

Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro they leap
Chasing the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And is anxious in its sleep.

They seek for slumbering trout
And whisper in their ears
Giving them unquiet dreams.
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears.
Over the young streams
Are where they appear to me.

With a fairy, hand in hand,
I walk with thee.
Taken to a place
Full of more weeping then
Our world to see.

They cast upon a shadow
Full of love and devotion.
Sing to you a song in which
Will leave you unspoken.
There soft whispers,
And there enchanting giggles
Hide the mysterious world of
Wonder.

For they are sad hiding
To you and I,
The world in which they cry.
