Not Yourself.

by Kayla Sonya Dearing   Sep 5, 2004

You came back,
But not being the same guy
That I once knew.

I still love you still
I always will
You have the right not to be yourself.

I love you
And you may not see that.
Maybe I'm being selfish.
Maybe I'm afraid to lose you.

Your not being yourself.
And I'm afraid to lose you.
I'm afraid to be hurt once again.
I'm afraid to die with no one here.

I guess you can call me selfish
I know I'm being selfish,
But I've been alone
And may always be alone.

Maybe you,
Not being yourself
Will tell you which way to go.
Maybe it'll tell you who you should be with.

I loved you
Before anything happens.
And I always will.

But I wish
You would be yourself
The guy that loved me
The guy that wanted to be with me.

But now your not yourself
And I have to still be here for you because I love you still.

Even though
Your Not yourself
I'll always be here
By your side!
