Catharsis

The daylight is waning....
crimson hues tinge the azure blue sky
and in this diffused form of reality
i bow my head and cry
i watch the roses bleed
their colours disappearing into the night
i'm lost in a spiral of dreams
as shadows dance in the flickering light

wandering aimlessly through these meandering lanes
stumbling along my so called life
there have been too many dead ends
and too many starless nights....
there is nothing left to love
nothing left to hate
just bits and pieces of broken dreams
hidden behind a soulless gaze...

as the rain whispers to the darkness
a blind hysteria overcomes me
fallen angels gather in silence
they writhe helplessly at my feet
their faces twisted in unholy pain
the wrap me in their tattered wings
but this madness cannot be tamed
this evil cannot be slain

hatred fills me like liquid fire
hatred for these stone cold eyes
flames leap high from my funeral pyre
hatred for my painted smile
i take the knife...
and plunge it deep into my black heart
and yet i don't feel anything
as gently, i fall
desperately i try again and again and again
but i don't feel ,i never did
so i lay here all alone
my blood permeates the floor
a mellow song from haydes reaches my ears
and as the death chariots draw near
i pray for my blood to cover me whole...
i pray for my blood to heal my scars..
i pray for it to mend my soul
