Reprieve

by AGirlWorthFightingFor   Oct 8, 2004

I met you at your flat
just to drop off a couple of books
for you to peruse through
you called my best friend
but i came instead
i had to get out of there
been over-stressed with premature plans
so now i'm here
soaking wet drenched
from the evening downpour
left to wait in the rain
you let me in
take my coat
i begin to peel off my wet clothes
when i catch you watching
you blush and turn away
pretend you didn't see anything
pretend you didn't enjoy it
pushing the glasses up the bridge of your nose
hold out your hand to prevent me
from getting too close
i approach, grab your wrist
place your fingertips upon my chest
absorb the water and sweat
beading off my skin
providing warmth for me
letting you know
the cold rain i\'ve been in
i look deep in your crisp blue eyes
as you gaze into mine
and find myself there
are you in here too
i brush back your black bangs
from your brooding, heavy brow
all pressure off
relax, i'm here now
i'll be your reprieve
as you'll be there for me...

...

wake up
morning after
rollover. pillow. mattress? fantastic
sniff. hmm, who'd i do?
how many times?
oh, god
i had sex with you
no, scratch that
i had amazing, incredible, steve-adore
mattress olympic sex with you
sniff, sniff. is that food?
yeah, i get food
hey, in the kitchen
you're wipping up eggs and bacon
i'll be gone soon
but for now
this is delicious

O.O Okay, that left me a little wide-eyed. You managed to use slang to great effect for your imagery, nice work...
