Not a piece of the Game

by aubrey   Oct 14, 2004

King to Bishop two and four
Now we are fighting Bush’s wars
We can not let this happen
We will not let them see
The children of our future
If this country you should lead

Fight for what’s righteous
Do not become a slave
To this insensate society
To which the battle call craves

Rise up all people
Rise up all men
Rise up all women, and rebel again
Fight from the dawn fight till the dusk
Ashes to ashes dust to dust

I will not judge the motives in your heart but i say if we can live through president's nixon, carter, and ford then we can live through one Bush. and remember anyone can tear something down but only the true will build it up afterwards. i say support our commander-in-chief, it's a hard job and he has to do it

I like to judge a solid not by the literature formal point of view but from if it made me feel something strong and I could get a clear message. This poem message is not very hard to get. Very against the war and Bush's policy. Also, there is an underlying meaning as well. You write about the future childern and not being abel to see then if Bush leads the counrty. I can feel that this poem is writen by a person who is really worried about our country and its people if Bush leads. I have to agree. I am very worried as well.
