My last sunset

by Brittany   Oct 31, 2004

Sitting all alone,
in a room so dark and grey.
I get down on my knees,
and quietly start to pray.

"Dear God, if your listening..
please forgive if you will.
For I can't make it through this life,
your plans I can't fulfill."

"Please God, if your listening...
please bless my family and my friends.
And if it would be possible,
please let them know why my life must end."

"Please God, if your listening...
Please tell my mum and dad.
Please tell my brother and my son,
why I have been so sad."

"Please God if your listening...
Please don't let them think I'm weak.
Please Lord let them hear,
all the words my heart can't speak."

"Please God if your listening...
Please let them know I tried to fight.
and please tell my little boy,
that everything will be alright."

"Please God if your listening...
tell his dad he will survive.
And tell him that I'm sorry,
for the things I did while I was alive."

"Please God if your listening...
will you give me one moment of comfort.
Please God won't you stay with me,
while I watch my one last sunset."
