Alice Grays Last Words

by Jacki   Nov 21, 2004

William Mee, I must say you're absolutely right.
I'm divine, and oh so lovely, my face always painted.
Yet your love you try to show me, it goes
into decay; you say your heart is breaking.
There is nothing I can do.
My name is Alice Gray and so I'm sorry I have to
say my heart does not pound for you.

My hair is dark and braided; my eyes flutter
with infatuation, blue that pierces my soul.
I just wanted to tell you you're so very right.
My hair is perfectly placed, braided every night.
Yet I braid my hair so delicately for the man
in my site, William Mee, you are not he.

You're love for me oh William Mee, I must have to say,
Please don't find me offensive I just will break your heart.
When our conflict has passed us both and green
consumes my grave, may my pity oh my pity take
your heart a hold.
Oh in this world which is so very cold.
My name is Alice Gray, and will never bee Alice Mee!
