Angels

Angels

Drenched in the darkness of my life,
The distant lights,
Deep in the web of all the lies,
The place of denied lines…

I cannot cross,
For I’m not worthy of the dead,
And I will sit here at a loss,
Cursed in my head.

Angels call my name,
Shouting through the rain,
Bringing me to life, and to the pain.
Guiding me back home,
Where I wish not to go,
But I can’t resist the beguiling glow.

Longing for an end to this show,
This constant act, drifts on so slow,
But I’m slipping down the steepest slope,
Plummeting past my soul.

Angels call my name,
Shouting through the rain,
Bringing me to life, and to the pain.
Guiding me back home,
Where I wish not to go,
But I can’t resist the beguiling glow.
