I Hear America Screaming

by Amanda   Dec 10, 2004

I hear America screaming, the terror in each voice,
Those of the families, their pain echoed in our hearts
Loved ones are lost,
The children are screaming because they are now alone,
They are orphans,
I hear students all over screaming; outrage in each voice a; flag now waves
Under the eave of every porch,
I hear fire-fighters screaming, their voices revealing despair
At their lost numbers,
I hear America screaming, strangled voices of rage I hear
