And I don’t understand,
Why you said those things to me,
Even held my hand…
I thought that you were genuine,
When you said you wouldn’t go back,

To brighten your day when things were black.
And I believed you every time,
That you whispered in my ear,
“I love you like I’ve never loved before”
So why are you not here?
It hurts to think you might have used me,
To get me into bed,
And once you did, you forgot me,
And nothing more was said…
I was stupid to even get involved with you,
I guess I was too blind to see
