Tomorrow is Today

by lisa marie   Dec 17, 2004

Here we go again, the same old effing story
Sitting out of place with some kind of aching worry
Nothing gets passed me
I know exactly what’s going on
Walking through these halls playing off my act
Trying to be happy in crowds of cheerful people
Glad with what they’ve got and everything they are
But I’m not gratifying, my self-esteem is low
Everything I have leaves without concern
Leaving me alone, broken in my room
Crying out for something but I don't know what
Missing what I had, and remembering the past
Bringing up old friendships that never did last
Walking through these halls with a smile on my face
Embracing onto my problems so they’re never heard
Having conversations with out a single word
Feeling more gloomy as the hours pass me by
Can’t wait to get home to sit inside my room
Without a thing to do, or a friend to talk with
Just me and my music, with a lot on my mind
Just another routine day and a melancholy rhyme
Not interested in today, and probably not tomorrow
My week is passing by with a hand full of sorrow
People always arguing and bringing down my day
Coming home to cursing and emotionless fools
My days never change, my life is on repeat
Tomorrow is today, and yesterdays still here

Not bad. Not brilliant, but not bad either. All in all, it was pretty good.

It's a great poem and all except hang on, why are you writing a depressing poem lisa marie? I thought that no one is depressed? why don't YOU shut up with the sad poems, instead of telling others to.
