Insane!

Broken windows
smashed from the past
shattering glass
breaking so fast.

Darkness is covering
all that eyes can see
my heart is pounding
uncontrollably......

Hold me now
I feel so cold
empty inside
a story untold.

Eyes jet red
scared and alone
whole body shaking
all on its own.

Whispering sounds
only I can hear
the voices tell me
to live in fear.

Haunting dreams
always through the night
woken in tears
goosebumps of fright.

Why is it me
always so scared
I've done nothing wrong
I've always cared.

Please don't hurt me
I want no more pain
I feel so weak
my heart feels drained.

No more pretending
that everythings ok
my head keeps spinning
and I'm feeling insane.

    This poem had my attention throughout. It flowed so well and you described your feelings perfectly. It was easy to read and truly enjoyable...though a little sad. Hate to see people "feeling isane" :)
