A Stiff figure

by insane authority   Jan 1, 2005

In the drabbest side
Where no light shines,
In the quietest part
Where no motion lies.

A stiff figure curls alone,
Huddles beside an abandoned wall,
Hidden away from his pride and soul
He sits solemnly in this dim world.

His soul cries for these days to end
His heart cries for someone to lend,
Warmth and care to take him away
Before he starts to really decay.

Within distraught lands
Where debris replace golden sands,
Under starless nights
Tears drip beside.

Fragile from heart, head to toe,
He’s cold as ice but soft as snow.
Burning away through restless nights
Losing hope he gives up his fight.

His soul cries for these days to end
His heart cries for someone to lend,
Warmth and care to take him away
Before he starts to really decay.

dang!!! girl, this poem made me feel
homeless and cold, alone with no one to love and no one to love me back.
    written excellent, with rhyming that
    reads and flows perfect.
    5/5 all the way
