It's strange how much I relate to this.
I loved the lines you used, they really gave the reader a direct feeling of anger and hatred twords the ill actions of the father. I really liked how you portrayed the betrayl and utter weakness that is felt through such a crime, and I loved the line
"You name your child failure and sinful to shame,"
I love the abuse that line plants in the reader's knowledge of the piece. Excellent job

Thank you, pinkalias. I wish there weren't so many souls out there who could unfortunately associate with this experience. :(

This poem will hit home to a number of people, but even though this issue is fairly common, the father is portrayed as alien and distant. Beautiful.

A beautiful scape of a broad and depraved mind.
Your base of description for affection is positively lovely, and your choice of words flow exquisitely.
    Bravo~

I am pretty sure I just read my father's life story. It was captivating, and for myself, full of angst. I feel that pain and anger come back when I read these words. Very well written, wonderful theme. I wish I could put it as well as you did in the comments you gave me, but this poem left me speechless.

    5/5.

    FTS,

This was an incredibly captivating piece, full of emotion and very insightful. Such few words have made me thought about many a thing. Your writing is truly a work of art. This is well beyond poetry, an expression of a truth that ought not be...

    Well done on this masterpiece.
