My Mum Had Him Very Young
She Was Only So Pure At Fifteen
So Many Straight A's Later
She Was Living In This Horrid Dream

My Dad Refused To Stand Up
And Be A Real Life Man
So My Mum Cried Alone
And Then Made A Stand

Her Parents Were There
Even Though Her Dad Didn't Speak
He Wouldn't Talk To her Throughout It All
Left Her Broken Life So very Bleak

Her Friends Left The Scene
And They Really Didn't Come Back
She Was Left As A Single Mum
Not Knowing Of The Future Track

But 9 Long Months Later
Her Miracle came From Above
Guided By Almighty's Pr-ares
And A Single Mothers Love

But It Wasn't All That Simple
He Was Born With A Bladder Exstrophy
Its When Everything Gets Even Harder
And Its A Struggle To Be Like You And Me

But My Mother Loved Him All The Same
Even If Others Would Point Almost Each Day
Shed Kiss Her Tiny Little Baby Boy
And Just keep Walking On her Way

And Things Got Even Tough
Doctors Said He Wouldn't Even Walk
The Re-assurance Wasn't Even That Much
That He'd Be Able To laugh and Talk

But Like The Miracle he Was
He Proved Them All Very Wrong
Walking Before His second Birthday
So very Proud And Very Strong

But Then Other Problems Came
Operations All The Horrible Time
But She Sat By His Bed Side
Being Away Would Make Her Pine

My Dad Came Back A Little Later
Decided He Wanted to Be A Man Now
I Think Corey Was Just About Three Or So
And She Took Him back Some How

He Wasn't Ever A Bad Dad
He Was Always Around Anyway
But He Wasn't That Permanent
As he Is Today

But As The Story Goes On
Corey Got Older Through The Years
I Was Born 3 Years After Him
Without Problems Or Any Tears

And Then Bad News Came Again
I'm Sorry He May Not Be Like Every Other Kid
He May Walk but Never Actually Run
But Just Like Other Children,He Did

In Fact He Become Much Better
Top Runner Through Out primary School
Hid His Condition From Many Friends
And He Turned Out To be Pretty Cool

And My Family Was Always Warned
An Infection Could Strike At Anytime
That At Any Possible Moment He'd Be Gone
And We May Only Have Him For A Short Time

But Hes Nearly Nineteen Now
And For This Battle So Very Long
Theres Still many More Obstacles
But Hes Beating All the Odds Wrong

Hes Now Off To University
To Study Medicine Of The World
To Become A Pediatric Surgeon
Help Tiny Boys And Girls

But As The Battles Keep Coming
Theres One Bigger Than Them All
Without A Certain Operation He Wants
He'll Give Up On His Life's Call

So Now Were Saving
To Send Him To The USA
So He Can Have This Operation
To Make Him See His Day

So I'm Now Praying To God
Which Iv never Done Before
I Gave UP On God Long Ago
But Now I Need Him So Much More

I Want Him To Save My Saviour
He Helped Me Through This Life
Who Made Me See Life Is Worth It
Without Seeing Death Through A Knife
