Two Of Me

by Krystle   Jan 8, 2005

One half of me is a sane girl,
Over-achieving, bright, and fair
Good grades, and great friends
Living her life without a care

Immune to the hardships of her world
A smile, always present on her face
Nothing can touch her, she's invincible
In the halls of Happiness she takes her place

The other half, a broken soul
Unable to stand on her own
Every compliment, a harsh insult
Her bleeding arms are never shown

She stands atop her rocky cliff
Wishing she could just let go
Wishing there was someone
Who could light her face aglow

As I sit in my darkness, pondering,
I wonder, Which is the real me?
Need to know this soon, for I am lost
Drowning in my personal, black sea

**please comment, this poem was written because I had a really strange week... anyways...please vote and comment, it would mean a lot**
