When You're Gone

by ashley   Jan 8, 2005

Where are you,
while I’m stuck here,
Thinking about you,
trying to fight back a tear…
Where are you,
when you’re not with me?
There are moments,
when I wish I could see…
What are you doing,
while you are gone,
When the hours pass slowly,
seeming to drag endlessly on…
What are you doing,
when you’re miles away,
And I’m still here,
missing you more every day…
What do you think about,
I think about you,
Thinking and wondering,
if you’re thinking of me too…
What do you think about,
do you think about your baby,
Wondering when you’ll see her again?
If, when, and maybe…
She’s sitting at home,
not doing much at all,
Just thinking about you,
wondering when you will call…
She’s waiting patiently,
for the days to pass,
As she counts down the hours,
until she’ll see you again…
At last
