A True Fairytale

by ashley   Jan 10, 2005

A true fairytale to me,
Isn’t exactly what it seems,
It’s not the kind that you can get,
From in a book or in your dreams…

A true fairytale has no prince,
Or castle in which you can reside,
A true fairytale doesn’t end happily ever after,
Or have perfect rules for you to abide…

A true fairytale is having a place,
To shelter you from the cold air,
Or a warm meal to enjoy each night,
And maybe a brush to comb through your hair…

A true fairytale is having a friend,
Who will share their love with you each day,
And a place where you can worship God,
Where you can kneel at an alter and pray…

Pray that your life may one day,
Be a real and true fairytale,
At home in heaven, at peace with God,
Where everything’s perfect and you cannot fail…
