Autumn Leaf

by Xtasy   Jan 13, 2005

Walking on my home bound route
Breath in the cold crisp air
I look around without a doubt
The autumn trees whose patterned rare

I kick the fallen leafy piles
And look into the sun kissed sky
Brings back old memories full of smiles
Knowing that the end is nigh

I suddenly noticed a crimson leaf
Fluttering carelessly down
I picked it up with disbelief
This painted leaf to me renown

That one leaf just reminded me
The way it freely swirled
That a brighter life is the key
To dispatch from the world
