Vibrant Dreams

by Serena   Jan 19, 2005

Eyelids flutter, Breathing slows,
Dreaming of a love he never knows
Whispers in the night that barely pass my lips
Then my world grows dark and my conscious finally slips…
Tumbling through colors vibrant and intense
Expressing my love with a sensation so immense
Each color is an emotion flashing before my eyes,
I suddenly know all, I suddenly am wise
The feelings I cannot express by day are defined now in my sleep,
Such as happiness I felt with you, blue oceans clear and deep
I see scarlet blood and crimson fire
And I know I’m observing my endless desire,
Accents of amber and bursts of gold,
Undying comfort when you are mine to hold,
Green trees and fresh cut mint
A newfound peace of garland tint
Purple and violet, my laughter and bliss
Pink of blushing cheeks every time we kiss
Then the dazzling colors turn ghastly dim
I am warily dancing on a nightmare’s rim
Harsh shadows of black and gray,
How you’ve made me feel since you left that day
Darkness surrounds me encircling my joy
Stealing every feeling with some sick and twisted ploy
But through the tunnel of gloom there is a glimmer of light
For my hope shines through with a pure radiant white…
I awaken with a gasp as I try to catch my breath
As I realize my emotions were approaching their death
Did I really just dream that or is it all in my head?
Should I stay loyal to my love or end my pain instead?

Serena you're talented and your talent is unique, I like your words. What I didn't like was that there is too little space between a group of lines and the next group, it made me read it too fast and didn't get the full taste of it :D

    Anywayz, good luck!
