Hidden

by Lauren   Jan 22, 2005

Hidden amongst the living,
passion burrows inside,
destroying me eternally,
Another part has died.

Fumbling malicious words,
meant to break me down,
too lost inside my inner self,
To do anything but frown.

My exterior is made of steel,
that nothing can penetrate,
made of determined pain,
And simple undying hate.

Lakes of tears I have not cried,
from vicious angry blows,
caught inside my secret self,
Killing emotions no one knows.

My interior is made of silk,
without a single flaw,
awake with a vengeance,
From being rubbed raw.

So as I sit here smirking,
with no thoughts of bidden,
I silently promise myself,
To keep my interior hidden.
