Sun Tanning

by Jacki   Jan 31, 2005

Once Strong and proud it stood like
a mountain, beautiful and serene.
But below its ground a nearing death.
A perfect snow falls last breath.
The hem of the seas wide mouth,
devouring and indulging with screaming
bright lights.
Flowers on Fire painted beautifully
upon its changing ways
destined for downfall, a daily rebirth.
The Spine of the world, drifting away....

this poem is a riddle
