Within it's Hands

Pushed farther down
These old rickety steps
Plunged deeper through dark
I struggled for a few breaths

My face hit the cement
And I barely see the figure
A twisted heart, full of sin
My own personal grave digger

Clothed in black
Covered with hate
Within it's hands
My mangled fate

Can't see it's face
My vision is blurred
"One day you'll pay!"
The evil voice purred

Terror spread through me
As I let it continue
"For the pain you caused,
And the sickness in you!"

I closed my eyes
Prayed this would end
Emotion can be fixed
But life I cannot mend

Mumbled words
Of hate and sorrow
Poured from it's lips
There'd be no tomorrow

Through tears and pleads
I questioned it's identity
It gave a cold reply
"You killed the old me"

Daring to open one eye
I could finally see
That evil figure
Was really me...

    hey thats a really good poem liked it a lot and i understood it pretty well i hope someday a person like you will come to mexico and teach this spoiled brats bout life and i hope i could have a friend that thinks the same way as you and me im only 12 years old and actually understand te way you are feeling i hope you write more poems like that see ya..!!!!
