But in my mind those things were true,
The tales you told were tall.

It ate at me both night and day,
I had no where to turn.
"I'd give you everything," you said
But all you gave was hurt.

You wanted to make love to me,
But you agreed to wait.
But really you weren't waiting,
You found another mate.

You told me all you said was true,
You said you'd never lie.
But now I know the truth you hide,
And all I do is cry.

You gave your heart for me to hold,
I gave you my heart too.
I held your heart so gently,
But you broke my heart in two.
