Insight

[Inspired upon reading Christopher Moore's "In Other Words"]

I ponder these single words with paragraph meaning,
emotions explorations conceived in foreign lands,
concepts my own tongue can’t manage in but one word.
Reading line after line of attempted explanation,
interpretations crafted, molded, shoved and pulled,
I'm left with the impression that other languages
simply express understand contemplate life
with far greater depth and insight than can we.

I imagine a man walking along a cobblestone street, wearing a black frock with his hands folded behind his back.

He wears a thoughtful expression, and his brows furrow when some thought sires over the others.

And he just walks heedless of society.
