Glimmer

by FTS Miles   Feb 5, 2005

A glimmer of eye is understandable presence;
Instead feral fire has emboldened your essence.
Thus we circle expectantly in hunt broiling savage
Temperance biding lest our prey we fast ravage,
Holding stalwart 'gainst pangs of brutal starvation
And warring with isolation's rabid ovation.
We rage at our fetters, our claws fast unfurl,
Locked gazes spurring our tensions awhirl.
And then it comes, sudden weakness confers
Lips breathy parted, our lunges soft blurs.
Mouths become locked in ravenous capture
Hungry dance rending flesh unto souls' rapture.
