The White Ships

by FTS Miles   Feb 14, 2005

Betrayed by nurturing sea,
Betrayed by fiery verdance,
The white ships they go.

Before the shattered plain,
Before the drowning wave,
The white ships they go.

Cast forth from the gardens,
Cast forth from safe harbor,
The white ships they go.

Our spires are cast down,
Our glories are fallen,
The white ships they go.

Exiled unto savage wilds,
Exiled unto the new dawn,
The white ships they go.

Forging timeless legend,
Forging indelible Memory,
The white ships they go.

Thank you all! Tremendous praise. :)

And I'm particularly glad that no one automatically assumed this was a Tolkien poem. Not that such would be bad, but not my intention.
